Okay, so here's a semi-update as I have a screaming baby in the background!! (Take note that's it's taken about 3 hrs to upload these pictures as I have to keep taking breaks! lol)

Happy 2 month birthday to Luke (yesterday)! Can you believe it's been 2 months!?! He's definitely a little cutie pie...high maintenence...but cute! :) He's now 12lb7oz and 23.5inches long! That's about double his birth weight and he grew 4 inches! :) He's now smiling, coo-ing, shoving fists in his mouth, etc. He loves his playmat and rocker but hates his swing with a passion! He's got a neck of steal but refuses to do tummy time! He usually just pukes and so I rescue him from it! lol

He was dx with a milk/soy protein allergy at the beginning of January and it's still not under control. He also has reflux pretty bad and is on prevacid and mylanta. He cries all the time. No, not just a typical "fussy baby" cry - an all out wail for hours on end. We've tried everything but he's in pain and the crying won't stop until things get better. We see a pediactric GI @ Children's but we're not happy with her right now. We're looking at getting a second opinion. Because of his pain, he's also not sleeping much anymore either. He wakes himself up in pain after only an hour or two of sleeping most nights. We're positive things have to get better, it's just a matter of when!

Even though all of this makes us crazy, we still love this little guy more than words can describe! He's our little miracle and just amazes us every single day!

Here are a few pictures from the past 2 months! Enjoy!

Oh my! Poor baby... And mommy... And daddy... For the terrible pain he's in and the lack of sleep all of you have! I do hope things get better, and soon!!! :-)

He is one precious babe! Beautiful! :-) I'm so glad you took the time (okay, hours) to upload the photos for the viewing audience's pleasure.

You're now off the hook for an update for awhile... :-)

He is absolutely adorable!

FWIW, my Tiny Boy had reflux and colic as a newborn. He was on Axid oral liquid (for children) and it helped, though he still cried a LOT as a baby. I always had to be holding him (which I loved, but still, it is hard when you know he's in near-constant pain and screaming at you.) We figured out that he was sensitive to dairy as a baby, so I went completely off it while BF, and it did help.

He's now 2.5 YO, and has been diagnosed with gluten/wheat, egg, and dairy allergies. I swore when I was BF that it couldn't be the gluten thing; now I wish I'd at least tried to go off it, too, in case it would have helped him. It is just SO HARD to have a newborn, and especially one who is not sleeping much due to pain and reflux. I share my experience to tell you that it will be okay, I have BTDT and now my boy has the sweetest, mellowest personality and we now know how to really help him via diet changes.

I hope you can get a second opinion. It took 6 weeks before our ped would even believe us that something was wrong, and even longer before we found something that helped him. Bless you for pursuing whatever you can to make it easier for your amazing boy. You are a great mom!
