I went to my doctor's office to pick up my records today.  The RE likes you to "hand carry" them to his office because it saves charts getting lost in the "fax world."  Plus, I would hate to have my appt rescheduled just because I get there and my OB's office didn't fax the reports..  

Anyways...

Of course as soon as I got home I ripped open that package like it was Christmas morning.  Working in the medical field, I know that docs write a lot more on charts than what they tell the patients.  I just had to read all about it!  Anyways, now I know why they don't tell patients everything!  Actually, I'm a little ticked off with a couple things that they didn't tell me.  

One thing on the chart said: (written on Mike's first s/a from January) "Needs consult with urology or discuss IVF/ICSI"  What the heck!?!?!  First of all, I was told by the doc that his results weren't ideal but were "within normal range."  Of course I knew better, but still!!  Not once did she even mention IVF!  I know that it is a possibility, but I want to take things once step at a time.   One more validation that we're making the right decision by moving on from the obgyn and seeing the RE.
