False Alarm

Well, I guess it could be considered a false alarm? We had yet another trip to L&D tonight because of my lovely blood pressure. It was very high at home while I was resting (188/124) and it didn’t go down too much an hour later. Mike came home from work early and we called the doc. He said to go ahead and go in to be monitored to see if things go down.

We got there around 5 or so and they hooked me up to the monitors. Luke is doing great! They did a non-stress test to makes sure he was moving and grooving like he should be and he is. My bloodwork and other tests came back great as well so we just waited. Our nurse said she was going to call our doctor and see what he wanted to do. She came in and said he was going to come in and see us. That automatically made Mike & I excited b/c our doctor never comes to the hospital unless he means business. We thought that if he was going to come out then he would probably induce. We were wrong.

He said he wants me on bedrest until our appointment on Tuesday and we’ll go from there. So now we wait. I’m going to try and take it easy until Tuesday and we’re refusing to get any hopes up anytime soon. We’re at the point now where we’re not even expecting a baby next week. He said he’ll induce but I can’t guarantee it b/c he changes his mind so much! Very frustrating.

We’re back home and settled and we’ll update if anything changes!

I'm so glad things are okay though! I know it's frustrating to have your chain yanked...but usually the dr knows what's best. Have you had any more size guestimates yet??? I hope we all "meet" little Luke (did I tell you I looooovvvveee that name??) soon! And that you and he are soooo healthy! :)

Oh Angie I'm sorry you're so frustrated! Waiting is no fun at all, that's for sure, but especially on bedrest. I wouldn't be surprised if, when your doctor finally makes up his mind, things proceed at lighting fast speed so be ready!!
