So sleepy!
This is going to be another quick post as I'm so exhausted!
A professional photography came to our room yesterday to take some pictures of Luke. They turned out perfect!! Anways, if you want to view them - follow these instructions:

The slideshow really made me weep! I just can't get over the fact that I'm finally seeing picutes of my baby... my miracle. Words cannot express the way I feel. I'm tired, exhausted, emotionally worn out - but when I look into his sweet eyes, nothing else matters. He stares right back at me as if he were saying, "everything is okay now mommy, no more tears." I love him more than life itself.

Update =)
So, do you think tomorrow is a good birthday for Luke? We think it is!! Doc is going to induce tomorrow morning at 7:30A and we couldn’t be more excited (and scared, nervous, anxious, etc)!! My bp was still up at today’s visit so there’s no reason to keep him baking any longer. High bp does some wear and tear to the placenta and we would hate for Luke to have any problems because of it (which he hasn’t yet- he’s doing great right now!).
After 3 years of trying, many rounds of Clomid, Femara, Injectables, IUI’s & IVF/ICSI - we will FINALLY be holding our little miracle tomorrow!
Thank you to everyone who’s been thinking and praying for us over the years and right now!! We’ll be sure to update with some info/stats/pictures either tomorrow night or Thursday morning!!

False Alarm
Well, I guess it could be considered a false alarm? We had yet another trip to L&D tonight because of my lovely blood pressure. It was very high at home while I was resting (188/124) and it didn’t go down too much an hour later. Mike came home from work early and we called the doc. He said to go ahead and go in to be monitored to see if things go down.
We got there around 5 or so and they hooked me up to the monitors. Luke is doing great! They did a non-stress test to makes sure he was moving and grooving like he should be and he is. My bloodwork and other tests came back great as well so we just waited. Our nurse said she was going to call our doctor and see what he wanted to do. She came in and said he was going to come in and see us. That automatically made Mike & I excited b/c our doctor never comes to the hospital unless he means business. We thought that if he was going to come out then he would probably induce. We were wrong.
He said he wants me on bedrest until our appointment on Tuesday and we’ll go from there. So now we wait. I’m going to try and take it easy until Tuesday and we’re refusing to get any hopes up anytime soon. We’re at the point now where we’re not even expecting a baby next week. He said he’ll induce but I can’t guarantee it b/c he changes his mind so much! Very frustrating.
We’re back home and settled and we’ll update if anything changes!

Wow!
Today is December 1st and I'm going to have this little guy sometime THIS month.
It just doesn't seem real... I'm so ready for this pregnancy to be over, yet I don't want to share him yet! I know that sounds weird, but right now it's like we have this secret bond and pretty soon I have to let the world in on my secret.. so bittersweet!
I head to the doc again tomorrow... let's pray that my bp stays down and Luke stays put for at least another week :) No more contractions until they're the real thing!!! haha!

That wasn't a contraction, was it?
For the past few weeks I've noticed my blood pressure starting to get up there, but nothing too concerning (nothing over 140/90 which is the OB's cutoff to call). That changed on Friday evening when I started getting reading above 140/90 and started to get a little concerned. I just tried to take it easy and when I woke up on Saturday morning I checked it again. Crap. It was 146/95! It stayed around that range all day Saturday so I decided to call my OB. He said to put my feet up and relax until I saw him on Tuesday (but to call back if it got over 150/100). Sunday I had a few readings where my top # was over 150 and a few where my bottom # was above 100 - but never together. I called their office first thing Monday morning to let them know and they told me yet again to put my feet up and come in Tuesday. I went to work Monday and Tuesday (because I really had no choice) and had my appt yesterday at 12:30.
The appointment started out exciting with an ultrasound! He was measuring big at my last appointment so they wanted to see if there was a reason. He looked PERFECT! He was measuring a little ahead, but nothing too alarming. His head is measuring full term though! Oh no! The u/s tech said, "good luck with that!." Ummm, thanks. Then she said his estimated weight is 6lbs3oz right now at almost 36 wks! Wowsers! So, he's definitely a healthy boy =)
I then went to see the doctor and my uterus is measuring 42 wks. My bp was 166/102 though so not good at all. She had me rest on my left side and take it again and it only went down to 158/88 so that was my one way ticket to the hospital for monitoring. =( Before I left he did a quick internal and I'm 1cm dilated but still high and thick, whatever that means. So then we head to the hospital...
Once we got there they hooked me up to the monitors. I had the same nurse that taught the birthing class so I was comfortable with her and my bp was actually pretty good the whole time I was there. (Actually, at one point it got too LOW!) But after being there for about 30 minutes or so I asked, "That wasn't a contraction, was it?" She said, "Oh, it's just a BH probably" and just shrugged it off. About 30 minutes later she comes in and says, "Guess who just got themselves an IV?" She said that I was having contractions every 2 minutes for the last 40 minutes and they were showing on the monitor! She said that my OB didn't want to give me anything to stop them b/c he was scared it would up my bp - so I just got some IV hydration and continued to wait. 3 hrs later the contractions were still coming good and strong (not really painful though) and very consistent. They gave me some more fluids and around 7:30 they stopped! Woohoo! We were finally dischared around 9 and I was wiped!
My poor pup was so happy to see us! She had been in her kennel since 8:30AM! (Mike's mom let her out around 5p for about 30 minutes... but that's not enough for my active dog!) We need to get a plan in place for her for D-day b/c she was WILD when we got home.. she was still running around the house this morning at 2AM! Crazy dog!
Anyways, I'm taking it easy today (didn't go to work) and I have the rest of the week off! The doc said if my bp is decent, I can go back to work on Monday, but we'll take it one day at a time. My next appointment is Tuesday and I assume I'm going weekly until I deliver?
Now, what you all are waiting for - pictures!! (He looks JUST like Mike as a baby, too cute!)
